How to Reach:

  • By Road

    Kaza is accessible by road through two major routes:

    Route 1: Via Manali (Shorter Route)

    • Distance: ~200 km
    • Route: Manali → Atal Tunnel → Gramphu → Kunzum Pass → Kaza
    • Time: ~8–10 hours (depending on road conditions)
    • Best Time: May to October (roads are closed in winter due to heavy snowfall).
    • Highlights:
      • Drive through the scenic Atal Tunnel and Kunzum Pass.
      • Rugged landscapes and thrilling mountain roads.

        Route 2: Via Shimla (Longer Route)

        • Distance: ~440 km
        • Route: Shimla → Rampur → Reckong Peo → Nako → Tabo → Kaza
        • Time: ~2–3 days with overnight stops.
        • Best Time: March to October (accessible longer than the Manali route).
        • Highlights:
          • Gradual altitude gain, reducing chances of altitude sickness.
