Shenzhen is served by Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport (SZX), which is about 32 kilometers (20 miles) from the city center. It’s an important airport for both domestic and international flights.
- International Flights: Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport connects to many global cities, including those in Asia, Europe, and North America. Popular airlines such as China Southern Airlines, Hainan Airlines, and international carriers like Emirates and Cathay Pacific operate flights to and from Shenzhen.
- Domestic Flights: It is well-connected to major cities in China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xi’an, and more.
Transportation from the Airport to the City:
- Metro: The airport is connected to the city by Line 11 of the Shenzhen Metro, providing easy access to the city center in about 40 minutes.
- Taxis: A taxi ride from the airport to central areas like Luohu or Futian takes about 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic.
- Shuttle Buses: There are airport shuttle buses connecting to various parts of the city.
2. By Train
Shenzhen is well-connected by rail, particularly through high-speed trains from major cities in China.
- Shenzhen Railway Stations: The main train stations are Shenzhen Railway Station (Luohu) and Shenzhen North Railway Station.

5. By Boat

6. By Train from Hong Kong
If you’re coming from Hong Kong, the Shenzhen High-Speed Rail station at West Kowloon Station connects directly to Shenzhen North Railway Station in about 15 minutes. You’ll need to go through customs and immigration when crossing the border between Hong Kong and mainland China.
