Day 1: Arrival in Chennai and Temples around Chennai

Day 2: Chennai to Kanchipuram

  • Morning:
    • Drive from Chennai to Kanchipuram (approx. 2 hours).
    • Visit Ekambareswarar Temple – One of the Pancha Bootha Stalams (Earth element) dedicated to Lord Shiva.
  • Afternoon:

Day 3: Kanchipuram to Tiruvannamalai

  • Morning:
    • Drive from Kanchipuram to Tiruvannamalai (approx. 3 hours).
    • Visit Annamalaiyar Temple – A vast temple complex dedicated to Lord Shiva with a majestic 66-meter tall gopuram.
  • Afternoon:
    • Take a walk around the Girivalam Path – A 14-km sacred path around the hill.

Day 4: Tiruvannamalai to Madurai

Day 5: Madurai to Rameswaram and Departure

    • Drive from Madurai to Rameswaram (approx. 3 hours).
    • Visit Ramanathaswamy Temple – Famous for its 22 holy wells and corridors, it is a significant pilgrimage site.
  • Afternoon:
    • Visit Dhanushkodi – The historical ruins of a town submerged during a cyclone.
    • Optionally, explore Pamban Bridge and enjoy the scenic view.
  • Evening:
    • Return to Madurai for departure or continue the journey if your trip is extended.
