Day 1: Arrival and Local Exploration

  • Evening: Head to the Baugh Rauza, a 16th-century mausoleum, to admire its Indo-Islamic architecture. Stroll through local markets and savor Maharashtrian cuisine.

Day 2: Historical and Spiritual Journey

  • Morning: Start your day with a visit to the Tomb of Salabat Khan, also known as Chand Bibi’s Mahal. Located on a hilltop, it offers panoramic views of the city.
  • Afternoon: Explore the Meherabad Ashram, dedicated to the spiritual leader Meher Baba, and enjoy its serene ambiance.
  • Evening: Visit the Shani Shingnapur Temple, a unique shrine dedicated to Lord Shani, known for its open-air deity and a village with no doors.

Day 3: Excursions Around Ahmednagar

  • Morning: Take a short trip to Shirdi (approximately 80 km), one of the most significant pilgrimage sites in India, dedicated to Sai Baba.
  • Afternoon: Visit the Ratangad Fort, an ancient hill fort near Ahmednagar, for a mix of history and trekking.
  • Evening: Return to Ahmednagar and relax.

 

Day 5 (Optional for Extra Time): Badrinath – Dehradun

  • Morning:
    • Complete darshan at Badrinath (if pending).
    • Visit nearby attractions like Mana Village or Tapt Kund.
  • Afternoon:
    • Drive back to Dehradun (approx. 10–12 hours).
