  3. Lunch at Green Leaf Restaurant

  4. Explore Aurangabad Caves

    • After lunch, visit the Aurangabad Caves, a group of Buddhist rock-cut caves with stunning sculptures and paintings.

  5. Return to Aurangabad

    • Visit the Kailasa Temple, a stunning single monolithic structure, and explore other caves with remarkable sculptures and architecture.
  4. Lunch at Ellora Caves Restaurant

    • Enjoy lunch at Ellora Caves Restaurant, serving a variety of Indian dishes.
  5. Visit Daulatabad Fort (Optional)

    • If time permits, visit the nearby Daulatabad Fort, a 14th-century fort with panoramic views.
  6. Return to Aurangabad

    • Head back to Aurangabad.
  7. Departure

    • Salt and Sea Adventures will arrange your transfer to the station/airport for your onward journey.

  • The best time to visit Ajanta and Ellora is from October to March, when the weather is pleasant and ideal for sightseeing. Winter (10°C to 25°C) offers the most comfortable conditions. Summer (March to June) can be hot, while monsoon (July to September) brings heavy rainfall.

  • By Air: The nearest airport is Aurangabad Airport (IXU), 100 km from Ajanta and Ellora, with domestic flights from major cities like Mumbai and Delhi.
  • By Train: Aurangabad Railway Station is well-connected to cities like Mumbai, Pune, and Nagpur. From there, taxis or buses can be used to reach the caves.
  • By Road: Ajanta and Ellora are easily accessible by road from Aurangabad (30-100 km) via taxis, buses, or private vehicles.
