Days Plan

Day 1: Arrival and Beach Exploration

    • Arrive in Alibaug from Mumbai or nearby cities by car or ferry.
    • Check into your beach resort or hotel.
    • Head to Alibaug Beach for a relaxing stroll along the shore and enjoy the scenic view of the Kolaba Fort.
  • Afternoon:

    • After lunch, head to Nagaon Beach. Enjoy water sports like banana rides and jet-skiing, or simply relax on the clean sands.
    • You can also visit the nearby Kihim Beach for a more secluded experience.
  • Evening:

    • Enjoy a beautiful sunset at Alibaug Beach or Versoli Beach.
    • Head back to your resort and unwind with a traditional coastal dinner.

Day 2: Historical Exploration and Forts

  • Morning:

    • Start your day with a visit to Kolaba Fort. Take a boat ride from Alibaug Beach and explore the fort’s ruins and the stunning views of the Arabian Sea.
    • Alternatively, visit Murud-Janjira Fort if you are up for a longer trip. The boat ride to the fort and the exploration of the island fort are unique experiences.
  • Afternoon:

    • After lunch, explore Kanakeshwar Forest and climb to the Kanakeshwar Temple for some spiritual solace and picturesque views.
  • Evening:

    • Return to your hotel and relax. Enjoy a coastal dinner and perhaps explore the town's local markets for souvenirs.

Day 3: Beach Day and Departure

  • Morning:

    • Spend your morning at Kihim Beach for a peaceful time with nature. This beach is quieter and ideal for relaxation.
    • Enjoy some local seafood at a beachside shack.
  • Afternoon:

    • You can opt for some last-minute shopping or visit the Alibaug Mandir for a spiritual visit.
    • After lunch, check out from your hotel and depart for your onward journey.

    The summer months can get hot and humid, with temperatures rising above 35°C. If you choose to visit during this time, make sure to stay hydrated and opt for early morning or evening excursions.

How to Reach:

  • By Air:

    • The nearest airport to Alibaug is Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (Mumbai), about 95 km away. From Mumbai, you can take a taxi or a ferry to Alibaug.
  • By Train:

    • The nearest railway station is Mumbai CST, from where you can take a taxi or bus to Alibaug (approximately 3-4 hours).
  • By Road:

    • Alibaug is easily accessible by road from Mumbai (95 km), Pune (150 km), and other nearby cities. You can drive or take a bus to reach the town.
  • By Ferry:

    • Ferries run between Gateway of India (Mumbai) and Mandwa Jetty in Alibaug. The ferry ride takes around 1 to 1.5 hours and offers a scenic journey over the Arabian Sea.
