Days Plan

Day 1: Arrival in Kuala Lumpur → Transfer to Genting Highlands

  • Morning:
    • Arrive in Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
    • Transfer to Genting Highlands (approximately 1.5 - 2 hours by car/cable car).
    • Check-in at your chosen hotel (e.g., First World Hotel, Resorts World Awana, or Genting Grand).
  • Afternoon:
    • Ride the Awana Skyway Cable Car to enjoy stunning views of the rainforest and mountains.
    • Stop by the Chin Swee Caves Temple, a beautiful Taoist temple located midway up the hill.
  • Evening:
    • Spend time exploring Genting SkyAvenue Mall for shopping and dining.
    • Visit Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park for fun rides and activities.

Day 2: Genting Highlands Theme Parks

  • Morning to Afternoon:
    • Spend the day at the Genting SkyWorlds Outdoor Theme Park.
      • Explore themed zones like Eagle Mountain, Rio, and Andromeda Base.
      • Enjoy rides like Ice Age Adventure or the Mad Ramp Peak (thrill rides).
    • Lunch at one of the themed restaurants in SkyWorlds.
  • Evening:
    • Relax and unwind at the Genting Highlands Premium Outlets.
    • Enjoy a nice dinner at one of the outlet restaurants or nearby cafes.

Day 3: Day Trip to Batu Caves + Kuala Lumpur

  • Morning:
    • Visit the iconic Batu Caves (45-minute drive) to see the stunning limestone hill with colorful temples and statues.
    • Climb the 272 steps to the main cave for panoramic views and explore the area.
  • Afternoon:
    • Head to Kuala Lumpur City Centre:
      • Stop by Petronas Twin Towers and explore Suria KLCC Mall.
      • Walk along the KLCC Park and relax.
    • Optional: Visit Aquaria KLCC for a family-friendly underwater experience.
  • Evening:
    • Return to Genting Highlands. Relax and enjoy dinner at your hotel.

Day 4: Nature & Leisure Day

  • Morning:
    • Visit the nearby Genting Strawberry Leisure Farm for strawberry picking and relaxing gardens.
    • Explore Happy Bee Farm and enjoy honey-tasting activities.
  • Afternoon:
    • Explore Gohtong Jaya, a peaceful town near Genting Highlands. Enjoy local eateries and cafes.
    • Visit the Mini Cameron Highlands Garden, which offers a glimpse of the highland gardens.
  • Evening:
    • Head to Casino de Genting for some gaming fun (for adults only).
    • Alternatively, visit Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Adventureland for quirky exhibits.

 

Day 5: Full Day of Relaxation & Shopping

  • Morning:
    • Spend a relaxing morning at your hotel spa or take a scenic walk around the resort areas.
    • Optional: Enjoy a round of golf at the Awana Genting Highlands Golf & Country Resort.
  • Afternoon:
    • Visit SkyAvenue Mall and other shopping areas to grab souvenirs and enjoy unique cafes like Starbucks Reserve.
    • Explore any remaining indoor attractions at Resorts World Genting.
  • Evening:
    • Enjoy a final dinner at one of the restaurants with views of the highlands.
    • Optional: Watch a live performance or show if available at Arena of Stars.

  • The best time to visit Genting Highlands is during the dry season, which typically spans from March to September. This period offers pleasant weather with cooler temperatures and less rainfall, making it ideal for outdoor activities and sightseeing.

    Avoid the rainy season (October to February), as heavy rains can disrupt outdoor plans. Public holidays and weekends can also be crowded, so plan for a quieter experience during weekdays.

How to Reach:

    1. By Car/Taxi:

      • From Kuala Lumpur: It’s about a 1.5 – 2 hour drive (about 50 km) via the Genting Sempah route.
      • From Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA): 1.5 – 2 hours drive.
    2. By Bus:

      • Take a direct bus from KL Sentral or Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) to Genting Highlands. It’s a 1.5 – 2 hour journey.
    3. By Cable Car:

      • You can take the Awana Skyway Cable Car from the Awana Station (located at the base of Genting) to reach the resort area. This provides scenic views of the hilltop.
    4. Private Transfers:

      • Private shuttles or transfers are available from hotels or Kuala Lumpur for more convenience.
