  • Dinner: Enjoy a local dining experience at a restaurant in Jasper, perhaps one with a view of the mountains.

Day 2: Jasper National Park Exploration

  • Morning: Breakfast and departure for a scenic drive through Jasper National Park.
    • Stop at Pyramid Lake for breathtaking views and short walk.
    • Visit Maligne Canyon for a guided hike, seeing the deep gorges and waterfalls.
  • Lunch: Packed lunch or local eatery in the park.
  • Afternoon: Visit Medicine Lake and learn about the natural wonders of the area.
    • Optional: Take a boat tour of Maligne Lake to see Spirit Island (a must-do activity).
  • Evening: Return to the hotel, free time for dinner and relaxation.

Day 3: Adventure Activities

  • Morning: Breakfast followed by an adventure activity depending on your interests (choose between):
    • Hiking: Explore the Valley of the Five Lakes or the Opal Hills Trail.
    • Wildlife Safari: Embark on a wildlife tour with a local guide to spot elk, moose, bears, and bighorn sheep.
  • Lunch: Enjoy a picnic lunch or head back to Jasper for a meal.
  • Afternoon: Choose another adventure activity:
    • Kayaking or Canoeing: On Pyramid Lake or Maligne Lake.
    • Rock Climbing or Via Ferrata: Experience the thrill of climbing with a certified guide.
  • Evening: Relax and enjoy a leisurely evening in Jasper Town. Option to visit Jasper Brewing Co. for a local brew.

Day 4: Glacier Adventure and Athabasca Falls

  • Morning: Breakfast and head out early to the Columbia Icefield.
    • Athabasca Glacier Tour: Explore the glacier on an Ice Explorer tour or take a walk along the glacier’s edge.
    • Stop at Glacier Skywalk for stunning views of the valley and glaciers.
  • Lunch: On your way back to Jasper, stop for a picnic or local lunch.
  • Afternoon: Visit Athabasca Falls and take in the powerful waterfall and surrounding scenery.
    • Optional: Take a short hike along the falls for great photo opportunities.
  • Evening: Return to Jasper. Dinner at a local restaurant with a cozy ambiance.

Day 5: Wildlife & Photography Tour

  • Morning: Breakfast followed by a guided wildlife and photography tour.
    • Explore the Jasper Wilderness with a professional photographer guide who will help you capture the best views and wildlife shots.
  • Lunch: Outdoor lunch in the park or at a scenic spot.
  • Afternoon: Continue your photography tour, looking for elk, wolves, or even the elusive lynx. End the tour with some of the park's most scenic vistas.
  • Evening: Return to Jasper for a farewell dinner with your group at a local bistro or lodge, reflecting on the trip.

Best Time to Visit Jasper

  • Fall (September to October): Fall colors create a picturesque landscape, making it perfect for photography and sightseeing. The temperatures are cooler, ranging from 5°C to 15°C (41°F to 59°F).
  • Winter (November to March): Great for skiing, snowboarding, and other winter sports. Temperatures can drop below freezing, often ranging from -5°C to -15°C (23°F to 5°F), offering a snowy experience.
  • Spring (April to May): Ideal for avoiding the crowds, with mild weather and blooming wildflowers. Temperatures range from 0°C to 10°C (32°F to 50°F).

    • Nearest Airport: Edmonton International Airport (YEG) and Calgary International Airport (YYC) are the closest major airports.
    • From there, take a connecting flight or drive approximately 4 to 5 hours to reach Jasper.
  2. By Car:

    • Jasper is accessible via the Icefields Parkway (Highway 93), a scenic route connecting Jasper to Banff, with stunning views along the way.
    • Drive from Edmonton (approximately 4.5 hours) or Calgary (approximately 5 hours).
  3. By Bus:

    • Several bus services, like Greyhound and Jasper National Park Shuttle, operate between Jasper and major Canadian cities like Edmonton and Calgary.
  4. By Train:
