Days Plan

Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar and Local Exploration

  1. Morning:

    • Arrival at Srinagar Airport.
    • Welcome by Salt and Sea Adventures team.
    • Check-in to a houseboat on Dal Lake.
  2. Afternoon:

    • Lunch at Mughal Darbar, famous for authentic Kashmiri Wazwan cuisine.
    • Visit Mughal Gardens: Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh.
  3. Evening:

    • Enjoy a serene shikara ride on Dal Lake.
    • Dinner on the houseboat with traditional Kashmiri dishes.

Day 2: Day Trip to Gulmarg

  1. Morning:

    • Early breakfast at the houseboat.
    • Drive to Gulmarg (1.5 hours).
    • Ride the Gulmarg Gondola for panoramic views of snow-capped peaks.
  2. Afternoon:

    • Lunch at The Highland Park Restaurant, known for its cozy ambiance and delicious food.
    • Engage in activities like skiing or a leisurely walk in the meadows.
  3. Evening:

    • Return to Srinagar.
    • Dinner at Ahdoos Restaurant, a historic eatery offering rich Kashmiri flavors.

Day 3: Day Trip to Pahalgam

  1. Morning:

    • Breakfast at a local café in Srinagar.
    • Drive to Pahalgam (2 hours).
    • Explore Betaab Valley and Aru Valley, surrounded by pristine beauty.
  2. Afternoon:

    • Lunch at Hotel Heevan’s Restaurant, offering great views and hearty meals.
    • Option for a pony ride or a stroll along the Lidder River.
  3. Evening:

    • Return to Srinagar for a final farewell dinner at the houseboat.
    • Transfer to Srinagar Airport for departure.

    • Adult – Original + photocopy of any of the ID proof i.e. Aadhar Card / Driving Licence /  Voters       ID / Passport
    • Child – Original + photocopy of any of the ID proof i.e. Aadhar Card / School ID / Passport

  • The best time to visit Kashmir is spring (March-May) for blooming flowers and pleasant weather, or summer (June-August) for cool temperatures and lush greenery. Autumn (September-November) offers stunning golden landscapes, while winter (December-February) is perfect for snow activities like skiing in Gulmarg, making Kashmir a year-round destination.

     

How to Reach:

  • By Air: Fly to Srinagar International Airport, well-connected to major Indian cities like Delhi and Mumbai.
  • By Train: Nearest railway station is Jammu Tawi (approx. 300 km from Srinagar). From there, take a taxi or bus to Kashmir.
  • By Road: Accessible via NH44 (Jammu-Srinagar Highway). Regular buses and private taxis connect Jammu, Srinagar, and nearby regions.
