Morning:
- Arrive in Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha, and check into your hotel.
- Start your sightseeing with a visit to the Lingaraj Temple, one of the largest and most important temples in Odisha, dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Afternoon:
- Head to Mukteshwar Temple, famous for its exquisite architecture and sculptures. It's often called the "Gem of Odisha".
- Visit the Rajarani Temple, known for its unique red sandstone architecture and detailed carvings.
Evening:
- Spend a relaxing evening at Bindu Sagar Lake near the temples. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and take in the scenic beauty of the area.
- Optionally, explore Ekamra Haat, a market for traditional handicrafts and souvenirs from Odisha.
Morning:
- After breakfast, drive to Konark, which is about a 1.5-hour drive from Bhubaneswar.
- Start your exploration at the Konark Sun Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The temple, designed in the shape of a massive chariot, is dedicated to the Sun God and is known for its intricate carvings and architectural grandeur.
- Visit the Konark Archaeological Museum to view artifacts related to the temple and the region’s history.
Afternoon:
- After exploring the Sun Temple, head to Chandrabhaga Beach, located nearby. It’s a peaceful, less-crowded beach, perfect for a stroll or a relaxing afternoon by the sea.
- If visiting during the festival season, you can experience the Chandrabhaga Mela, a cultural fair held near the beach.
Evening:
- Drive back to Bhubaneswar in the evening.
- Optionally, visit the Odisha State Museum if you have time, as it offers insights into the rich history and culture of the region
Morning:
- After breakfast, head to Puri, which is about an hour's drive from Bhubaneswar.
- Visit the Jagannath Temple, one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites. The temple is dedicated to Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra, and is known for its stunning architecture and the famous Rath Yatra.
Afternoon:
- Spend some time relaxing at Puri Beach, one of the most popular beaches in Odisha. You can enjoy the view, take a walk, or even indulge in some beach activities.
- Visit Raghurajpur Artist Village, a village known for its Pattachitra paintings, traditional handicrafts, and ancient arts.
Evening:
- Return to Bhubaneswar in the evening.
- Before wrapping up your tour, visit the Khandagiri and Udayagiri Caves, ancient rock-cut caves located on two hills near Bhubaneswar. These caves date back to the 1st century BCE and are great for exploring Odisha’s Jain heritage.
