Days Plan

Day 1: Arrival and Cultural Exploration

  • Morning:

    • Arrive in Muscat and check into your hotel.
    • Start your day by visiting the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, an architectural masterpiece and one of the largest mosques in the Middle East.

    Afternoon:

    • Explore The Royal Opera House Muscat, a stunning venue for the arts that combines traditional Omani architecture with modern design.
    • Take a walk along Qurum Beach to enjoy the views of the Arabian Sea.

    Evening:

    • Visit Muttrah Souq, one of the oldest markets in Oman, where you can shop for traditional handicrafts, spices, and jewelry. End the day with a traditional Omani meal at one of the local restaurants.

Day 2: Historical and Scenic Sites

  • Morning:

    • Visit the Bait Al Zubair Museum, which showcases Omani culture and history through artifacts, traditional clothing, and weapons.
    • Head to the Al Jalali and Al Mirani Forts, which stand guard over Muscat’s harbor and offer great views of the city.

    Afternoon:

    • Explore the Muttrah Corniche, a scenic waterfront promenade with stunning views of the sea and mountains.

Day 3: Day Trip to Wadi Shab and Bimmah Sinkhole

  • Morning:

    • Take a day trip to Wadi Shab, a stunning gorge with crystal-clear pools and waterfalls. Enjoy a scenic hike and a swim in the refreshing waters.
    • After exploring Wadi Shab, head to the Bimmah Sinkhole, a natural limestone formation filled with turquoise water, perfect for swimming.

    Afternoon:

    • Continue your journey to the Wadi Tiwi, a beautiful valley with terraced farms and lush greenery.

    Evening:

    • Return to Muscat for a relaxing evening and dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 4: Nature and Adventure

  • Morning:

    • Head to Jebel Akhdar (The Green Mountain) for a scenic drive through the Hajar Mountains. This area is known for its terraced farms, orchards, and stunning views.
    • Visit the Saiq Plateau, known for its cool climate and beautiful landscapes.

    Afternoon:

    • Explore the Nizwa Fort and the Nizwa Souq (market), located around two hours from Muscat. Nizwa is famous for its historic fort and vibrant traditional market.

    Evening:

    • Return to Muscat and enjoy a quiet evening by the beach or in one of the city’s fine dining restaurants.

 

Day 5: Relaxation and Departure

  • Morning:

    • Spend your last day relaxing at Al Bustan Beach or Shatti Al Qurum Beach. Enjoy some leisure time by the sea or indulge in a spa treatment.

    Afternoon:

    • Explore Qurum Natural Park, a large green space perfect for a leisurely stroll.
    • If time allows, visit The National Museum of Oman to learn about the country’s rich history and heritage.

    Evening:

    • Enjoy your last meal in Muscat at a traditional Omani restaurant before heading to the airport for your departure.
