  • 6:30 AM - Arrival in Puri

    • Check into your hotel and freshen up.
  • 7:00 AM - Visit Jagannath Temple

    • Start your day by visiting the Jagannath Temple, one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites. Experience the early morning rituals and soak in the spiritual vibes.
    • Dress Code: Traditional attire (for temple entry).
  • 9:00 AM - Breakfast at the Jagannath Temple Premises

    • Enjoy a simple but traditional breakfast at Bhojan Bhog, near the temple, offering local snacks and prasad (blessed food).
  1. :00 PM - Lunch at Wildgrass Restaurant

    • For a wholesome meal, head to Wildgrass Restaurant. Enjoy a traditional Odisha Thali with a variety of dishes, including dalma, bhendi besara, and chhena poda.
  2. 2:30 PM - Shop Local Handicrafts

    • After lunch, take some time to explore the local markets. Puri is famous for its pattachitra paintings and stone carvings.

    • Head towards Konark Beach, located near the Sun Temple, to enjoy a stunning sunset view and relax by the shore.

  • The best time to visit Puri is during the winter season from October to March. During this period, the weather is pleasant, with cooler temperatures and low humidity, making it ideal for sightseeing, beach activities, and temple visits. The peak tourist season is during the Rath Yatra (usually in June or July), when the city comes alive with festivities, but this period can be more crowded and hotter. If you prefer quieter and more comfortable weather, the winter months are the most favorable time to visit Puri.

  • By Air:
    The nearest airport to Puri is Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar, approximately 60 km away. It is well-connected to major cities like Kolkata, Delhi, and Chennai. From Bhubaneswar, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to Puri.

  • By Train:
    Puri Railway Station is well-connected to major cities across India, including Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, and New Delhi. Trains like Puri Express and Howrah-Puri Superfast make it an accessible destination.

  • By Road:
    Puri is easily reachable by road via the Chilika Expressway and NH 316. If you’re coming from Bhubaneswar or nearby cities, you can take a bus, hire a taxi, or drive to Puri.

  • By Bus:
    Regular buses, both state-run and private, operate from Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, and other nearby cities to Puri. The journey is comfortable and budget-friendly.

  • By Ferry:
    If you are coming from Chilika Lake or nearby coastal areas, ferries are also available to reach Puri.
