  • By Air: The nearest airport to Shillong is Umroi Airport (Shillong Airport), located about 30 km from the city. Alternatively, travelers can fly to Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati, which is about 120 km away, and take a taxi or bus to Shillong.
  • By Train: The nearest railway station is Guwahati Railway Station, approximately 100 km from Shillong. From Guwahati, shared cabs and buses are easily available.
  • By Road: Shillong is well-connected by road with neighboring states. Regular buses and shared cabs operate between Shillong and Guwahati. The drive from Guwahati to Shillong is scenic, taking about 3 hours.
